The Private Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh formed an Association to  Bench Mark the Best Practices prevailing  across the country  for extending quality Technical Education to the students in Andhra Pradesh. It is a registered Body and is in existence since 1981. After bifurcation of the state, the Administrative Office is shifted to Vijayawada.

The main objectives are detailed here below:-

1. To promote the cause of Technical  Education in Engineering, Management , Pharmacy, Architecture, Computer Applications etc. with special reference to the efforts of the Managements of Private Engineering Colleges in the State of  Andhra Pradesh.
2. To  coordinate  with various authorities namely  the Government, University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Commissioner of Technical Education, Universities, etc. on behalf of the  Managements, on all issues that confront the member institutions from time to time.
3. To collaborate with any  University/Association/ Corporate Body  to impart Technical Skills, Domain Knowledge,  Employability Skills, encourage Innovation ,  and  to establish Incubation Centres.
4. To foster cordial relations between the managements of Private Engineering Colleges and other Departments,  Government Agencies, Universities, Industry,  Stake holders, etc.
5. To promote healthy relationship between the Managements, staff and students and their parents so as to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the institution or attaining global standards in the field of Engineering, Science and Technology.
